DMCA & content reports

This page is a template, not legal advice. It describes a standard US DMCA §512 process. Have a lawyer review and adapt it — including the agent details and the jurisdictions you operate in — before you launch.

We remove infringing and unlawful content. You do not need an account, a lawyer, or a letterhead to report something — use the form at the bottom of this page, or email dmca@familystrokeshd.com. Every submission reaches the same moderation queue.

If a video simply won't play, or a comment is spam, use the Report button on the video itself. That is faster than a copyright notice and goes to the same team.

What makes a notice valid

A copyright notice has to contain six things. Miss one and we may have to come back to you before we can act, which costs you days. Write them plainly — no legal drafting needed.

  1. Your signature. Typing your full name at the end of the notice counts as an electronic signature.
  2. The work you own. Name the film, scene, photo set, or clip. If several works are involved, a representative list is fine.
  3. Where the infringing copy is. The full URL of every page here that hosts it. “Search my name on your site” is not enough for us to act on.
  4. How to reach you. Email at minimum; a mailing address and phone number if you want the notice to survive a legal challenge.
  5. A good-faith statement. That you believe the use is not authorised by the owner, its agent, or the law.
  6. An accuracy statement. That the information is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the owner or authorised to act for them.

What happens after you file

Step 1Triage — within 24 hoursA moderator reads the notice and checks the URLs resolve to real content here. Obvious cases — leaked paid content, non-consensual material, an exact copy of a registered work — are pulled straight away, before verification finishes.
Step 2VerificationWe confirm the six elements are present and that you are the owner or their agent. If something is missing we email you and hold the report open rather than closing it.
Step 3Takedown — within 48 hours of a verified noticeThe video is unpublished and the file is removed from our storage servers. The uploader is told what was removed and why, and repeat infringers lose their accounts.
Step 4Counter-notice, if the uploader disputes itThey can send a counter-notice with their contact details, consent to jurisdiction, and a statement under penalty of perjury that the removal was a mistake. We forward it to you. If you don't file a court action within 10 to 14 business days, the content may be restored.

Turnaround, in short

Triage within 24 hours. Removal within 48 hours of a verified notice. Emergency categories — non-consensual, minors, doxxing — are actioned on sight, at any hour, and are reported onward where the law requires it. We keep a record of every notice and every action taken on it.

Send a notice

This goes straight into the moderation queue. You'll get a reference number as soon as it is filed — keep it for any follow-up.

Paste the page address. If it doesn't match a page here we'll still record it verbatim.

Filing a knowingly false notice can make you liable for damages. Only file if you own the rights or are authorised to act for the owner.
